0915 – 1015    COL Timothy Reese- Director, Combat Studies Institute, Combined Arms Center, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas – The Combat Studies Institute (CSI) is a military history 'think tank' which produces timely and relevant military history research publications and contemporary operational history for the U.S. Army. CSI also conducts battlefield staff rides and provides other types of educational and historical support to Army units and commands upon request. COL Reese will speak about the The Operational Leadership Experience Project.  Ths mission of the project is to capture the operational experience. The goal is to interview at least 300 Command and General Staff College (CGSC) students, faculty, and others

The Liberty Memorial opened on November 11, 1926, eight years after the end of the War and has remained faithful to the initial objective: to collect, preserve and interpret the physical objects of World War One. The National WWI Museum is acknowledged as the only public museum in the United States dedicated solely to the history of World War One.  Jonathan manages the Museum's Research Center and welcomes everyone to use the Research Library, which is available during operating hours on a walk in basis. Researchers wanting to use primary source archival material are asked to make an appointment with Jonathan.   Invaluable information for librarians to understand what is available in this one of a kind museum.  www.nwwone.org

Google has reached out to the library community in recent months in an effort to demonstrate how their tools can be used by us to help make our resources more universally accessible. This brief survey of some of Google’s latest services and enhancements will cover Google Scholar’s Library Linking Program, Google Alerts, Google Gadgets, Google Books’ My Library feature and Google Alerts.
