"The Military Librarians Greatest War: Preserving the Past Capturing the Future"
Program
The Military Libraries Workshop(MLW) is an annual meeting that brings together civilian personnel who serve as Librarians or Library Technicians in military or governmental institutions, or in private organizations that have military mission. Sponsored by the Military Libraries Division (MLD) of the Special Libraries Association (SLA), the yearly meetings have been hosted, on a rotating basis, by the military services (Air Force, Army, Navy/Marine Corps) and agencies of the Department of Defense.
The 2007 Workshop will be hosted by the Combined Arms Research Library, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. The Westin Crown Center in the heart of beautiful Kansas City will be the venue for the workshop and the World War I Memorial in downtown Kansas City is the focal point of this year's theme, "The Military Librarians Greatest War: Preserving the Past Capturing the Future". The World War I Musuem is a great example of the preservation of the legacy of America's finest and bravest.
