Reservations through MLW2007

When making your hotel reservation, please identify yourself as attending the Special Libraries Association MLW 2007 meeting in order  to get the Workshop rate.  You can call The Westin Crown Center toll free at 1-800-937-8461; local: (816) 474-4400.

The Gov't per diem rate for LODGING as of October 1, 2007 for Kansas City is $103.00 

  The total maximum per diem rate for Kansas City, Missouri as of October 1, 2007 is $152.00

!!!!BREAKING NEWS!!!!!

     The hotel reservation must be made before November 23rd for the Workshop rate

If you don't manage to get TDY permission until after the 23rd - the hotel is giving us GOVERNMENT RATES which is the $103.00 per diem rate!!!!  So you still have time to register!

Please let the hotel know that you are a government employee when registering for your room.  

We are running out of rooms on certain nights at the Westin.  The Hyatt Regency Crown Center is connected to the Westin by a block-long, enclosed skyway and will also give you the government rate.  The number to the Hyatt is 816-421-1234.  This is their website:  http://crowncenter.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/index.jsp

•  To receive tax exempt status:

  1.  Present the completed Missouri Tax exempt form from http://dor.mo.gov/tax/business/sales/forms/1746f.pdf and present upon check-in for each individual.

  Or

  2.  Present a government issued credit card upon check-in for payment of the room.  This card is brown in color and has "government issue" emblazoned on the front.

• When your flight arrives at KCI, you have a variety of options for obtaining KCI Shuttle <http://www.kctg.com/kcishuttleindex.html>  service directly to your hotel.

• * Shuttles depart every 30 minutes between 5:35 am - 12:05 am.

• Walk up to one of the KCI Shuttle ticket counters. These counters are conveniently located adjacent to most airline baggage claim areas and are located at:

• Terminal A - Gates 1, 15, 30

  Terminal B - Gates 31, 50, 60

  Terminal C - Gates 61, 72, 80

• If our duty personnel are away from the ticket counter, use the white airport courtesy telephone located near most telephone islands throughout the airport and dial "5000". You will be connected with a KCI Shuttle Customer Service Representative who will provide assistance and arrange transportation to your hotel.

• After you approach the KCI Shuttle ticket counter, please give the Customer Service Representative your hotel destination information. They will arrange for your transportation and will direct you to the passenger-loading zone where you will be accommodated by one of our professional drivers.

• At the KCI Shuttle ticket counter, please let the Customer Service Representative know which hotel you are traveling to. The CSR will arrange for your driver and will direct you to the passenger-loading zone.

• When your assigned shuttle arrives please re-confirm with the driver what hotel you need to be transported to.

• The Following Hotels Have Service every 30 Minutes from Approximately 4:30 am to 6:30 pm: No reservations needed prior to 6:00 pm.
